Princz, Gyula (1905–1969)

Officer of the security police. A qualified printer, he joined a communist armed resistance group in 1944. In 1945, he went to work for the security police, and became head of the notorious ‘strike force’ of the State Protection Authority (ÁVH). He was arrested in 1953 and sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment. His sentence was confirmed in a retrial in 1957. On his release, he became a barman.
