 ___ATTILA SZAKOLCZAI [SZAKOLCZAI ATTILA]___

Born in Budapest in 1961, Attila Szakolczai was educated at the Mihály Fazekas Grammar School and then graduated in 1985 from the Faculty of Arts at the Loránd Eötvös University, Budapest, with a teacher’s degree in Hungarian and History. He taught at the Dániel Berzsenyi Grammar School until 1992, during which time he also held a scholarship from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Institute of Literature. Since 1992, he has been a research fellow at the 1956 Institute, with the 1956 revolution and the subsequent reprisals as his special field of study.
